Puzzle Buffs Needed: Can You Solve Conundrum?
The developers here at UltimateArcade.com are giving me a bit of a hard time. A while back they wrote this great puzzle game called Conundrum. The object of the game is to get all of the blocks in the game into their upright position. The catch is that when you click on a block, its neighboring blocks in all four directions (up, down, left, right) switch their position as well. The game is so simple in its mechanics, one would think that it would be only a matter of time before its pattern would become evident to the player. There must be some sort of pattern that will end with all of the blocks in their upright position. I have spent a great deal of time working on this game and so far, have not been able to solve it. As I go through the puzzle trying to erect all the blocks I always seem to end up with one block left in the down position, and when I click it, it moves up, but its neighbors switch to the down position, GRR. The real problem here is that I work for Ultimate Arcade. I know the guy who wrote this game. But for some reason, he will not give me the solution. I think he is just teasing me, waiting to see if I will beg for the solution, and believe me… it is not below me to beg! But rather than beg, I think first I will turn to my friends in the gamer community.
Here is where you come in Fellow Gamers. I know that there are some seriously skilled gamers who frequent UltimateArcade.com. Have any of you solved Conundrum, or do you think you can? I need you to send me a solution so I can show the developers here that we, the gamers on UltimateArcade.com, can solve any puzzle put in front of us.
So, do I have any takers? If you can solve Conundrum, send me an email, a tweet, record a YouTube video, or leave a comment on this blog post detailing how you solved the puzzle. What reward do I offer for your gamer expertise? To the first person that can can successfully convey a step-by-step solution for Conundrum to me, I will be willing to highlight the gamer in an addendum to this blog post, including a photo headshot, short bio, and link to your site, clan, whatever (pending approval of the link by Ultimate Arcade Empire management).
So what do you say UltimateArcaders? Are you up to the challenge? I need your help because I fear in order to earn the solution from the developers here, it is going to take a lot of trips to the coffee shop for bribes.
Thanks for your help,
-Joe Pine
